Reports on State and Society in the Czech Republic and Slovakia

Published from 1993 to 2005 by the Board of the Collegium Carolinum, Munich, on behalf of and funded by the Federal Foreign Office
ISSN 0943-8386
Based on a continuous analysis of contributions and articles from the most important Czech and Slovak newspapers and weekly journals, these Reports document the political and social development of both successor states to Czechoslovakia in the years 1993 to 2005. In addition to tracing constitutional developments in both republics, the Reports focus on their economies, particularly in the context of privatization, on society and social policy, on political parties and associations, and on international relations. They also contain press releases documenting the results of opinion polls, ethnic relations, and cultural and scientific developments. Notices on days of remembrance and significant changes of personnel in politics and society in the Czech Republic and Slovakia complement the wide range of themes handled by the Reports.
